We have commissioned Dapol to produce us a special run of their new "Platinum" series Class 86 electric model in British Rail blue livery.
Our Exclusive Edition will be the only BR Blue Class 86s available from the initial run, and we have sole call on producing more BR Blue 86s for the next 2 years after that. We already have some ideas for future runs in mind.
This particular model is of 86.204 "City of Carlisle" and is limited to 125 locomotives within the production run. We are also doing 86.241 "Glenfiddich" as a limited run of 125 units. Both models will have marker light headcode panels, no multiple working equipment and single arm pantographs.
The model will be to the "Platinum" specification of all recent Dapol models. It wil therefore have their new 'Super Creep' motor and flywheels, be DCC (6-pin) ready, directional lighting, NEM coupler pockets and additional parts for self-addition. Etched nameplates will also be fitted.At this stage, we do not know when the N Gauge Mark 3 coaches and the catenary system will be available, but if these coincide with our 86, we will look to put together an offer covering these items.
